An Answer To Prayer!

Can anyone guess what that is? THAT is my answer to my prayer! The fact that there was someone out there with extra stone, who didn't need it and offered it to us is a blessing. Even if it's not exactly enough to do everything I want to do, it's enough to do something. That, my friends, is more than nothing, which is where I was when I started this journey to stone. I don't believe this is coincidence! I believe that even as God cares for the big things in our lives, He also cares for the small things.

ERIN!!! This is SO awesome!!!!!!! I'm so happy for you! Wow, God really does love you, doesn't He? This is so amazing! I wanted to cry, and it's just stone! But it's not just stone. It's an answer to prayer and God's exceedingly abundant blessings on you.

"Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do SUPERABUNDANTLY, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [INFINITELY beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]--" Eph.3:20 (Amplified Bible)

Ugh, don't listen to 'anonymous!' Nothing is too small or too big for God. I'm sure you make 'big deal' kind of requests of God too, like finding homes for the homeless, feeding the starving, and world peace among other things. But it's so awesome that God takes time to answer our little teeny, tiny, seemlingly unimportant requests, too -- and it sure as heck isn't like because you prayed for stone, He was distracted from bringing world peace, so our chance for that is gone. Geez.

Erin,
I'm sorry you got that post :( I want to tell you my thoughts on it. I think it's totally ok to pray for these things, too. I think God answering them is His way of reminding us that we should always count on Him and that He will be there for us in direly hard times also. Hope that didn't get you down and if so, CHIN UP!

Last thing ---- there are no coincidences! I whole-heartedly believe this!

Anonymous,
There is nothing we can't ask of God. I have a feeling you might view that it is only things Erin is asking of? If you pay careful attention, you will find it is not of things she asks but of guidance and wisdom. God knows our heart. It is the tending of the soil that is MOST important, for good soil produces a seeds that grow and take root.
Erin's heart is a heart after God's. That's it, plain and simple really.
I think the approriate outlook would be to see that Erin has thanked Our Lord for the something many would not consider a gift from Him. ALL is a gift from Him, no matter how insignificant it may seem. To acknowledge these gifts helps others, like myself, to be reminded of God's giving nature and the blessings we sometimes forget to praise Him for.

Oh, Cheeky, thanks so much for softening my words!! I'm learning something about myself here -- I'm very impatient and critical with people who don't know what I know. Instead of coming alongside and helping them to see, I criticize and shut them out. Some witness. I'm so glad there's people like you out there who are more sensitive and gentle in their attempts to help those who just don't know or understand or haven't heard. Thank you. "Anonymous," I'm sorry my humanness got in the way of God's greatness.
