BAFAB Week's back! ***sticky post***

***this will remain at top of my blog until Oct. 3...see below this post for newer posts.

Hey everyone! Buy A Friend A Book Week is just around the corner (first week of October). I hosted one back in April and had 2 winners because I was feeling especially generous (or maybe I needed to make it even so that both my girls could pick a name out of the bowl). This time I want to know who's reading my blog. If you read my blog, tell me what book you're longing for. I want LOTS of participants. I don't care if you've never commented before and never plan to comment again...although I'd really like it if you'd comment : ) I don't care where you live. I will send you a book if your name gets picked. It can be a fiction book, a self-help book, a children's book, any kind of book you please...you get the picture. I need your choices in by October 3 since that's half way through the week. You can enter by leaving a comment below (click on the link that says "deep thoughts" with a number in front). If you'd rather not comment, email me: happy_erin26@hotmail.com with your pick. And even better, if you have a blog, I encourage you to host your own BAFAB contest. And if you don't have a blog just go buy someone a book for the sake of giving someone the gift of a book.

ooo I love it when you do this. I have really been wanting the book Shopaholic and Baby by Sophie Kinsella but partly b/c of the events of the summer I've been postponing buying it. Thanks Erin!

what a neat idea :)

Well, since I just went to Solomon's and bought myself 2 more books, I was pretty sure I wouldn't be able to think of anything. But I think I would like to read The 5 Love Languages, since I'm getting married and all.

What an awesome idea!! I love it! There are a TON of books that I'd love to own, so I'll have to think about which book I want the most!

You're great. How nice of you to do this again. I'm not sure what book I would want. Is it allowed to leave it up to you?

Nadine - you can leave it up to me if you let me know what Genre(s) is your favorite. Then at least if your name gets picked I'm not totally out to lunch : ) Thanks for joining the contest.

Oh, I have another idea. Sex God. Yes, it's a book (I don't know who the author is), and it's a Christian book. I promise.

Okay -- I was sure I had left a comment on this yesterday...but NOW IT'S GONE!!

Anyway -- I would love a book by Karen Kingsbury. I'm collecting them; eventually I want to own ALL of them (although it's hard to keep up with her!!)

If I win, I'll let you know one that I still need -- I can't think of one right now.

jenene -- that book is by ROB BELL and i've heard it's fantastic.

Erin, I loved this idea back in April and I am still loving it now... I think I will do this too! Such a good idea!

So, if I am the lucky person,
I think I would choose either a book by Lori Wick (I just read Sophie's Heart and LOVED it!) or any of Max Lucado's books, besides Facing Your Giants (LOVED it too)....

Oh, my last comment didn't post for some reason....
I wanted to tell you that you have inspired me to host my own BAFAB week. So, be sure to stop by and enter yourself in my contest! :)

Here I am, but I don't know what book I want. Historical fiction in good.

This is a great idea.
I can't really say that I have one book in mind, but I have been looking for a great marriage devotional. I haven't had much luck in finding one.
this is so cool...

WOW! NEVER BEEN HERE BEFORE! Thanks for the contest...I am a book worm! (BTW Francine Rivers is awesome- highly rcommend her!)

I would love to win a book for my daughter- who has my genes for books....AND SHE IS TURNING THE BIG 30 the middle of October. She loves Karen Kingsbury books.

Since the last thing I won was a 3" radio...back in 1969... Yes, I could be your mother!) It would be cool to win something for my daughter.

And this could be contagious and I might start this on my own blog!

In case you are wondering, I caught your blog thru Alexis's blog. Joy, Debi
